New Government – New Immigration Policies
The new Prime Minister, David Cameron, has indicated that the new government will impose a “cap” on the number of migrants allowed into the UK from outside the EEA. However, he has not been at all specific about this. He has merely vaguely indicated that he wants the number of migrants to be substantially reduced and he has not given any idea about which categories of migrant might be capped.
No doubt more detail about this will emerge in the next few weeks, and it might be that changes will come into effect in the summer or autumn this year. UK Visa Services will be monitoring developments and we will be updating our website as information emerges.
