Tier 1 General changes
As well as the “interim limit” now imposed on Tier 1 General applicants applying from outside the UK, the UK Border Agency has made some changes to the points required for Tier 1 General applications.For applicants applying in the UK who were last granted leave under Tier 1 General, HSMP, Writer Composer or Artist or Self-Employed Lawyer there are no changes – they are still required to score 75 points under the “Attributes” section, as before.
However, applicants applying from outside the UK and applicants applying in the UK to switch from any category other than those mentioned above will now have to score 80 points for Attributes ie an increase of 5 points.
